Translate your product listings into several languages
Selling in Spain, Germany or Italy starts with product listings customers can read in their own language. ListoMax brings eight language tabs together in a single form, writes SEO in six languages and publishes everything to PrestaShop and WooCommerce.

Why translate your product listings to sell in Spain, Germany or Italy?
Because customers buy more readily when they understand the listing, and because Google ranks a page in the language of the search. A listing left in English only will not come up for a query typed in German.
Understand before buying
Material, dimensions, care: read in their own language, these details reassure customers and avoid questions to customer service.
Be found in every country
A translated title, meta description and URL give each version its chance in local search results.
The real obstacle
Translating two hundred products field by field in the back office is out of the question: that is why so many catalogues stay in a single language.
An English-only product listing can help in a pinch, but it does not replace a Spanish or German version for a customer searching in their own language. ListoMax makes translation manageable: all the languages in one place, published in one go.
What needs translating in a multilingual product listing?
The visible text, but also what Google reads: the page title, meta description and URL.
| Listing element | In ListoMax |
|---|---|
| Product name | One field per language tab, eight tabs. Required in French or English, optional elsewhere. |
| Short description and full description | One field per language tab. |
| Friendly URL (slug) | Generated automatically from the name, in each language, editable. |
| Meta title and meta description | Per language, in six languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese. |
| Keywords | Dedicated field per language. |
Price, stock, weight, EAN, categories and images are not translated: entered once, they apply to every language. The listing score then flags the languages left empty, so you know which listings to complete. The details of each field are on the product form section of the features page.
How do you translate the meta title and meta description for SEO in each language?
By rewriting them for the target language rather than translating word for word, and by respecting the lengths Google displays.
One meta title and meta description per language
The title is limited to 70 characters, the meta description to 160: beyond that, Google truncates the text. A coloured gauge turns green when the length is ideal.
Google preview, tab by tab
The preview shows the listing as it will appear in search results: title in blue, URL in green, meta description in grey. You correct each language before sending.
Do you need a different slug for each language?
Yes, it is better: a URL that reads naturally in the customer's language is clearer. ListoMax generates the slug from the name in each language, removing accents and characters that cannot be used in a URL. You can rewrite it if you are targeting a specific phrase. For a series of variants, each listing gets its own slug in every enabled language, which avoids duplicate pages. The SEO in six languages section details these settings.
Can you generate product descriptions in several languages with AI?
Yes, if you wish. The ListoMax AI generator writes the texts in the languages you have enabled, which saves translating listing by listing. It remains an extra: the software works fully without it.
What it writes
A sales-focused title, a well-sized meta description, a full description and a list of key points, based on the product name and a few selling points you provide.
Your Anthropic key
The generator uses your own Anthropic key. The cost, a few cents per listing, is paid directly to Anthropic. We take no margin and charge nothing on it.
You stay in control
The text arrives in the form fields. You review and correct it: nothing is published without your approval. Only the name and selling points are sent for generation.
Without a key, no data leaves your computer and you write your translations yourself. More details in the AI generator section of the features page and in the FAQ about your data.
Multilingual PrestaShop store or WooCommerce multilingual store: what changes
ListoMax prepares the same languages for both. Only the way multilingual content is handled differs.
The store's languages
PrestaShop is multilingual out of the box. ListoMax sends the texts in your store's languages: name, descriptions, meta title, meta description and friendly URL per language, through the official Webservice. See how to bulk add products to PrestaShop.
Depends on the plugin installed
WooCommerce is not multilingual without a translation plugin. Language support therefore depends on the plugin installed on your site. If in doubt, write to us before buying. See how to bulk add products to WooCommerce.
Selling on both? The same translated listing goes to every ticked store in one operation: that is the subject of the page on how to publish products to multiple stores. The full compatibility table is in the features by CMS.
How do you translate and publish 200 product listings without spending weeks on it?
By entering each language just once, in the same place, then letting ListoMax create the listings and their variants.
Fill in the listing in your language
Name, descriptions, price, images, categories: the shared base.
Complete the other language tabs
By hand, by pasting your translations, or with the AI generator if you have entered a key. Check the meta title and meta description of each language with the gauge and the Google preview.
Or import a file that is already translated
The CSV or Excel import recognises columns by language, such as name_fr, name_en, name_es, name_de, short_en, description_fr or seo_title_fr; equivalents exist for each language. See importing a CSV or Excel file into PrestaShop and importing WooCommerce products from a CSV.
Create a series if needed
With the Series feature, one translated listing becomes one listing per colour or size, each with its name and slug regenerated in every enabled language.
Publish and check
ListoMax reads each product back after sending and shows the reason for any failure, with a button to retry.

Your questions, answered
In how many languages can you write a product listing with ListoMax?
The form has eight language tabs for the name, the friendly URL and the descriptions. The meta title, meta description and keywords can be written in six languages: French, English, Spanish, German, Italian and Portuguese. The name is required in French or English.
How much does the AI product description generator cost?
It uses your own Anthropic key: you pay a few cents per listing directly to Anthropic. ListoMax takes no margin and charges nothing on it. Without a key, the software works fully.
Is the slug translated into each language?
Yes. The friendly URL is generated from the product name in each language, without accents or special characters. You can rewrite it if you are targeting a specific phrase.
Do I need a plugin for a multilingual WooCommerce store?
Yes, WooCommerce is not multilingual without a translation plugin, and language support depends on the plugin installed. On PrestaShop, the texts are sent in the store's languages.
Can I import listings that are already translated from a CSV or Excel file?
Yes. The import recognises columns by language, for example name_fr, name_en, description_fr or seo_title_fr, with equivalents for each language.
How long does it take to publish a series of translated listings?
With the Series feature, publishing 12 listings takes less than 2 minutes, according to the publisher's measurement. The base product's translated texts are reused by every listing, with a slug regenerated in every enabled language.
